Reflecting on 2017 – The highlights of the year.
Well this year has been an absolute rollercoaster ride, extreme highs with a fair few lows and challenges which have made me realise how short and precious life really is along with the fact that you never truly know what other people are going through, so always be kind (which goes without saying). But this blog post is to focus on the good times of the year… 2017. WOW. You took me to a different country atleast every month (sometimes twice), making it the most places in one year I have managed to visit and tick off the bucket list. A big BIG thank you to Laura Bartlett and #TeamCoco…

A slice of heaven in Crete – The Blue Palace Luxury Resort #Team Coco
After recently returning from the BEAUTIFUL Greek island of Mykonos with #TeamCoco (which FYI will feature in the next print issue of houseofCoco.net so make sure you download), it got me reminiscing about last years stay at The Blue Palace Resort and Spa in Crete. I have come to the conclusion that the Greek islands from Santorini, Rhodes, Mykonos are by far my favourite little European gems of all my travels, and the best holiday destinations (in my opinion) if you are looking for a piece of paradise without the repercussion of a long haul flight! Let me take you back to my visit to Crete on behalf of HouseofCoco.net…

Top 10 breakfast spots around the globe
I’m an absolute sucker for breakfast, it is definitely my favourite meal of the day. Waking up in the morning thinking about what’s first to eat gives me great pleasure and happiness (I am a fat person on the inside dying to get out). The only thing that can satisfy me even more than food is a great view or backdrop (when I say this out loud it makes me realise I am definitely getting old), but it’s right what they say…with age you start to appreciate the little things in life. So as I was tucking into my poached egg and salmon on toast, with a froffy coffee and…

Moments in Mauritius; Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort and Spa
Moments in Mauritius…the purpose of this trip was to find an idyllic beach, switch off our phones for 10 days and eat gourmet cuisine washed down with Pina-Colada until our hearts content. And thanks to Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok resort that’s exactly what we did, this oriental palace offers everything that you could need in a personal paradise and you will never want to leave. We booked this holiday for May to celebrate my fiancè’s birthday unbeknown it is actually the beginning of their winter season in Mauritius, but don’t worry the winter here is hotter than our summer! I actually enjoyed the temperature been slightly cooler for once… It was…

Italian road trip with #TeamCoco and Ford #LuxuryTravel
Life is about the journey not the destination, and that’s exactly why you need to experience a road trip through the unspoilt valleys of Italy. I recently returned from another #TeamCoco adventure with a fabulous group of 10 writers, exploring the true Italian culture and it was simply “Belissimo” ! House of Coco teamed up with Ford to test drive their new luxury Vignale range (pronounced Vig-Na-Ley), the pinnacle of the brand created by pioneers and visionary coach designers Alfredo and Giovanni Vignale, established by the brothers in 1948. We began the adventure in Turin (Torino in Italian), located north of Italy around 80 miles to the left of Milan. We had…

Summer in Switzerland with House of Coco; Alpine Adventure.
When I was told my first House Of Coco trip would be to the Grand Hotel Kronenhof in Switzerland up in the Engadine Valley my heart literally skipped a beat, I had wanted to tick this off the list for a long time and a 5 star luxurious hotel in Pontresina was certainly the way to do it in style. HOWEVER when I read the brief “Alpine Adventure” slight anxiety crept in. I mean I am always up for a challenge but the fact that I don’t own a pair of walking shoes, haven’t stepped on a mountain bike (since I was 12) and that two hot yoga classes a week is…

Maldives;BucketList,My photo diary.
So I know this post is a bit late, I had all intentions of getting it done as soon as I returned but here I am 2 months later (ooops). Anyway I didn’t want to rush this post and I have been waiting for the right moment to sit back and reflect on what can only be described as the ULTIMATE dream holiday…before I begin just a pre-warning its a LONG one, I just took way too many pictures but you can’t blame me right!? Let me rewind…April…(if only I could really rewind that would be ideal). We started off our 2 week adventure in India (see the last blog…
